THE 15th Annual WORLD MUSIC AWARDS
MONTE-CARLO Tonight, under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco, Monte-Carlo is celebrating the 2003 World Music Awards. Since their inception in 1989, the World Music Awards have been the only award show to honor the best-selling recording artists from every major country on earth. This years Wold Music Awards will feature an extraordinary line-up of the most popular musical acts of the past year. The annual special, now in its tenth year on American television, will be broadcast on the Warner Brothers (WB) Tribune Stations, making it the only European awards show to air on prime time network television in the United States. Million of music lovers across the country will tune in to watch this star-studded spectacular, hosted by Vicica A. FOX, Rupert EVERETT and Anna KOURNIKOVA. The broadcast of the 2003 World Music Awards will run on the most-watched television networks in over 160 countries, including all the North and South America, Japan and South East Asia, all of mainland China, Australia, New Zealand, all of Africa and Middle East and all of Europe, reaching an estimated worldwide audience of one billion viewers. Prince Albert and is run by a subvention from the government of Monaco. All donations go directly to assisting underdevelopped areas mainly in africa, Asia Eastern Europe and Brazil. No funds are deducted for office or administration costs. All of the proceeds from toniht's show will be completely devoted to the following twqo chartity's : 50% of the proceeds going to the construction of a Princess Grace clinic in Africa with the remaining 50% benefiting Rupert Everett's charity fund for an already existing hospital for AIDS cure and research in Africa
